This is Minna writing. Cliff & I were both software engineers, Inn at the Falls is our first hospitality project, it’s like our newborn, though the main building was built in the 1870s as Judge Mahaffy’s residence, the main building was converted to an inn in 1943. In the 1970s, the second building was built, the Mews, overlooking Muskoka River.

 

Cliff grew up in Gravenhurst. In 2013, Cliff moved to California; I grew up in China and moved to California in 2013 too. There we met, Cliff was asked by our common friend to teach me driving, therefore under Cliff’s instruction, I failed FIVE times in driving tests before I got my driver license, it was not fun, however we got to know each other well during that time.

 

Cliff and I lived & worked in San Jose, California for almost 7 years, we sold our California home in April 2020 and drove back to Muskoka with our 2 boys during the COVID-19 lockdown. It's an interesting move, ask me about it when we meet. :)
